Dr Kaz Paradis (MDCM) started his career with 14 years of academic clinical practice and administrative skills in pædiatric gastroenterology, hepatology and liver transplantation, primarily in orphan metabolic diseases; basic laboratory research and PI in several clinical trials. He has 20 years of pharmaceutical company experience in clinical research and biotechnology development primarily in transplantation, orphan diseases, clinical operations, medical affairs, and management with over 10 orphan drug approvals working for Novartis, Genzyme and Sanofi-Genzyme where he was Senior Vice-President and Global Therapeutic Area Head in Clinical Development for rare diseases for the last 5 years. He is experienced with Regulatory Authority interactions (FDA advisory committees, Oral Explanations at EMA, Scientific Advice at EMA, UKXIRA, Protocol Assistance at FDA, SFDA, Japan, National Health Authority Meetings for reimbursement, eg. Comité de Transparence).
