Associate Scientist/Engineer – 6 months contract

Who we are

At Dynacure, our mission is to develop and commercialize novel therapies to transform the lives of patients with rare diseases who have limited or no treatment options.

We are currently developing a product candidate for the treatment of Myotubular and Centronuclear Myopathies.

Summary of the position

As a member of the Research department, you will be involved in studying innovative therapies in the field of neuromuscular diseases. You will bring your expertise in molecular biology and histology techniques.

The Associate Scientist independently designs, executes and analyzes complex assays or experiments in accordance with project requirements. In parallel, you participate in the stock and platforms management, and in the equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design experiments in accordance with project requirements
  • Plan work, execute, analyze and interpret results, write reports and propose next steps in accordance with project timelines
  • Pro-actively troubleshoot, improve and adapt existing methods and techniques
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and adapt priorities
  • Present data, results and ideas in a clear and comprehensive way internally
  • Supervise a technician

Qualification
Education level and Experience

  • Qualification related to life sciences (Master or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in developing and running biomolecular assays and previous experience with at least 2 of the following techniques: ELISA, RT-qPCR, Western Blot
  • Strong experience in developing and running histological and immunochemistry assays
  • Previous experience working with different types of biological material (Tissue, cells, blood from Human, NHP, mice)
  • In vivo experience with mice and a valid animal work authorization is a plus
  • Previous experience in a neuromuscular/neurological disease field is a plus
  • Previous experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment is a plus
  • Minimum B1 English level (written and spoken)
